training services that bring value to customers and maximize their
investment in our equipment. Weekly Training Schedule is shown below:
Training Lessons:
- Test System Overview: Solidus will present material showing the basic configuration of the STI3000 Test System, including hardware and software architecture. Customer learning objective: Be able to identify major system components and how they interconnect. In addition the customer should be able to initialize and shutdown an STI3000 test system.
- MEMS Devices Review: Solidus will present material showing basic MEMS devices, and their functionality, and review basic testing methods for 3 axis accelerometers. Customer learning objective: Be able to identify basic accelerometer operation and testing methods. (Class option 1: Customer Product Presentation: Customer to present MEMS product operation and device configurations. Solidus learning objective: To identify customer’s device types, device requirements, and device roadmaps.)
- MEMs Data Sheet & Test plan development: Solidus will review test requirements, develop simplified device model, and develop a test plan. Customer learning objective: Be able to develop simplified device model, test plan, and documentation for a MEMs device.
- MEMs Probe Card development: Solidus will teach the basics for resource allocation and probe card development. Customer learning objective: Be able to assign resources to develop and document a probe needle card for a MEMs device.
- Test Software Review: Solidus will review basic software techniques used by the STI3000 and some of the major features and operation of the test system. Customer learning objective: Be able to turn on a Solidus test system and load a test program on the STI3000.
- Test Program Structure: Solidus will review the structure of a Solidus test program, and identify the major components and their purposes. Customer learning objective: Be able to develop a skeleton test program for a MEMs device.
- Test System Operation: Solidus will review test system operation in a production environment and cover system specifications, installation, maintenance, and calibration, of an STI3000 test system. Customer learning objective: Be able to understand the install procedures, operation, calibration, and maintenance, of a STI3000 system.
- Lab 1 & Demo: Solidus will Demo a STI3000 test system and identify major system components. Customer Lab learning objective 1: Students will identify and name major system components. Customer Lab learning objective 2: Students will initialize a Solidus test system, load a test program, and shut down the test system.
- STI9000 Overview: Solidus will present material showing the basic configuration of the STI9000 Mixed-Signal Test System, including hardware, features, and functional blocks. Customer learning objective: Be able to identify major functional blocks.
- STI3000 Programming Leakage: Solidus will present material showing how to connect the tester to a sample accelerometer and perform a leakage measurement. Customer learning objective: Be able to connect resources to a DUT and make a Leakage measurement.
- STI3000 Programming Capacitance: Solidus will present material showing how to connect the tester to a sample accelerometer and perform a capacitance measurement. Customer learning objective: Be able to connect resources to a DUT and make a Capacitance measurement.
- STI3000 Debug & Data Analysis: Solidus will present material showing how to setup and debug a simple test program and analyze the data results from those tests. Customer learning objective: Be able to enter debug mode and debug a test, and view test results.
- Test System Set Up and operation review: Solidus will review test system installation and setup of a STI3000 test system. Customer learning objective: Be able to understand how to the install a STI3000 system.
- Lab 2 & Test System Set Up and Debug: Solidus will supervise students in setting up and debugging a STI3000 test system. Customer Lab learning objective 1: Students will setup and Install an STI3000 test System. Students will connect all major system cabling. Customer Lab learning objective 2: Students will initialize a Solidus test system, load a test program, and shut down the test system. Customer Lab learning objective 3: Students will learn simple debug techniques to quickly isolate system installation or connection errors.
- STI3000 Programming Natural Frequency: Solidus will present material showing how to connect the tester to a sample accelerometer and perform a Natural Frequency measurement. Customer learning objective: Be able to connect resources to a DUT and make a Natural Frequency measurement.
- STI3000 Programming Damping Ratio: Solidus will present material showing how to connect the tester to a sample accelerometer and perform a Damping Ratio measurement. Customer learning objective: Be able to connect resources to a DUT and make a Damping Ratio measurement.
- Customer Test Program: Solidus will present material showing the Test program developed for customer device. Customer learning objective: Be able to understand the “turnkey” Test program developed for the customer.
- STI3000 Test System Calibration and Diagnostics: Solidus will present material describing the system calibrations and how to setup and run system diagnostics (System Level Hardware Checkers) Customer learning objective 1: Be able to understand yearly system calibrations. Customer learning objective 2: Be able to setup and run System Diagnostics (Hardware Checkers).
- STI3000 Wafer Map and Prober Reference File Creation: Solidus will present material describing the process of creating a prober reference file so a wafer step and repeat table and wafer map are created properly. Customer learning objective: Be able to create a prober reference file for a new device.
- Test Code Adaptation Natural Frequency: Solidus will present material describing the process of adapting the natural frequency test for fine tuning this test to the device under test. Customer learning objective: Be able to fine tune a natural frequency test to a device.
- Lab 3 Debugging and Fine Tuning a Natural Frequency test: Solidus will supervise students in setting up, debugging, and fine tuning a Natural Frequency test. Customer Lab learning objective: Students will modify code to see the effects on a natural Frequency Test.
- STI3000 Programming Range of Motion Test: Solidus will present material showing how to connect the tester to a sample accelerometer and perform a Range of Motion (ROM) measurement. Customer learning objective: Be able to connect resources to a DUT and make a ROM test.
- STI3000 Programming Frequency Sweep Test: Solidus will present material showing how to connect the tester to a sample accelerometer and perform a Frequency Sweep measurement. Customer learning objective: Be able to connect resources to a DUT and make a Sweep test.
- MEMs Dual Site Probe Card development: Solidus will teach the student more advanced techniques for resource allocation and probe card development for dual site probe cards. Customer learning objective: Be able to assign resources to develop and document a Dual Site probe needle card for a MEMs device.
- STI3000 Test System Maintenance: Solidus will teach the student how to maintain a STI3000 test system and how to get the system repaired. Customer learning objective: Be able to understand the care and maintenance of the STI3000.
- Test Code Adaptation Damping Ratio: Solidus will present material describing the process of adapting the Damping Ratio test for fine tuning this test to the device under test. Customer learning objective: Be able to fine tune a damping Ratio test to a device.
- Lab 4 Debugging and Fine Tuning a Damping Ratio test: Solidus will supervise students in setting up, debugging, and fine tuning a Damping ratio test. Customer Lab learning objective: Students will modify code to see the effects on a Damping ratio Test.
- STI3000 Programming RAMP Test: Solidus will present material showing how to connect the tester to a sample accelerometer and perform a RAMP measurement. Customer learning objective: Be able to connect resources to a DUT and make a Ramp test.
- STI9000 & STI3000 General Programing: Solidus will present material covering some general system commands and programming code the student might find useful. Customer learning objective: Be more familiar with the general purpose commands and programmability of the STI3000 & STI9000.
- STI3000 Software Front Panel Preview: Solidus will present material on the Software front panel Tool for the STI3000. Customer learning objective: Be aware of STI3000 Software Front Panel (SFP) tool and its uses for debugging.
- Customer Test Program: Solidus will present further material showing the Test program developed for customer’s device. Customer learning objective: Be able to understand the “turnkey” Test program developed for the customer. Customer can discuss with Solidus any additional learning as required. (Optional Customer Turnkey Buy off can be substituted for the Lesson)
- Test Code Adaptation ROM Test: Solidus will present material describing the process of adapting the ROM test for fine tuning this test to the device under test. Customer learning objective: Be able to fine tune a ROM test to a device.
- Lab 5 Debugging and Fine Tuning a ROM test: Solidus will supervise students in setting up, debugging, and fine tuning a ROM test. Customer Lab learning objective: Students will modify code to see the effects on a ROM Test.

- STI3000 Help: Solidus will teach the student how to maintain a STI3000 test system and how to get the system repaired. Customer learning objective: Be able to understand the care and maintenance of the STI3000.
- Microphone Device Review: Microphone Devices Review: Solidus will present material showing basic Microphone devices, their functionality and review basic testing methods. Customer learning objective: Be able to identify basic Microphone operation and testing methods.
